#AllResponsible

In October, the Prefecture of La Réunion, ARS, the Région Réunion, the municipality of Saint-Denis, and Sodiparc, with the support of SAOME, are launching an awareness campaign about excessive alcohol consumption and its dangers, as well as the prohibition of alcohol sales to minors.

La Réunion is among the French regions most vulnerable to the health, social, and judicial consequences associated with excessive alcohol consumption.

Excessive drinking is a scourge in La Réunion. As a reminder, alcohol is responsible for over 50% of the deaths on the island’s roads since the beginning of the year and is involved in over 90% of domestic violence incidents.

As part of this campaign, throughout the month of October, various posters will be displayed on dozens of Citalis and Cars Jaunes buses, as well as on dozens of billboards throughout the Réunion territory.

They will convey various messages about the violence induced by alcohol consumption and about the sale of alcohol to minors.
