“Behind the initiative “Childhood without a hangover” are Systembolaget, Bris, Maskrosbarn, Trygga Barnen and the World Childhood Foundation. An estimated 320,000 children in Sweden suffer from their parents’ alcohol consumption. It is shown in a report by the Central Association for Alcohol and Drug Information, CAN. The campaign is aimed at neighbors, sports leaders or friends of the family who, with a minimal effort, can play a decisive role in these children’s upbringing.
As an adult close to your child, you can make a difference just by being there. Simple things like listening, having dinner or driving to training can be absolutely crucial.”
