“Since May 19, the French can once again meet on the terraces of bars and restaurants, in compliance with a later curfew… and surely want to celebrate.
The joy of these moments, synonymous with conviviality, should not obscure the need for a sober return to the road. Alcohol remains today, along with speed, one of the two main causes of road fatalities. Through a new campaign, Road Safety is mobilizing so that the French find, at the same time with good times, good habits: “When you care about someone, you hold him back”.
In a new health context, “aperitif”, “bar”, “terrace” are words that have almost disappeared from our vocabulary. Forgotten “concepts” which will gradually reintegrate our lives. Road Safety thus parallels these festive pleasures with the need to resume the habit, the reflex, of retaining a friend who has been drinking.”
