Drive Safely in Memory of

“The Chesterfield County Police Department continues its “Drive Safely in Memory of” campaign with the story of Jordan Barksdale.

On January 30, 2021, Jordan Barksdale was driving home on River Road, from her boyfriend’s house in Amelia County, VA. Suddenly, a vehicle crossed the road and collided with Jordan’s head-on. Jordan died as a result of the injuries she sustained during the crash.

Chesterfield County Police arrested the driver of the other vehicle for DUI with a blood-alcohol level of 0.215; more than twice the presumptive legal limit. The driver also admitted to being distracted by her cellphone while driving.”
