Only drive sober

“Although there is zero tolerance for drunk driving in Estonia, according to the Police and Border Guard Board, there are between 1000 and 4000 drunk drivers on Estonian roads every day. A driver who is 1.5 per mille drunk is 130 times more likely to be involved in an accident than a sober driver.

Shame. Guilt. Injuries. Debts. Even prison. Consequences that are very real but often not spoken about. Are two beers worth killing a man or ruining your life?

It is against this backdrop that a social campaign to raise awareness of the consequences of drink-driving was launched today at the initiative of private companies and with the advice of the Transport Board and the Police and Border Guard Board.”
