“The Public Health (Alcohol) Act contains a suite of preventative controls and measures designed to tackle Ireland’s harmful use of alcohol. It aims to reduce the damage that alcohol causes to individuals, families and society by encouraging less alcohol use, but a particular focus on establishing controls to protecting children and young people from early alcohol harm and exposure to alcohol marketing.

For 3 years there’s been inertia on commencing marketing measures enacted in Alcohol Act.”
