As evidenced by a recent survey of 3,700 people conducted by Alcohol.org, a leading provider of alcohol treatment resources, many people continue to drink despite knowing that it could shorten their lives.
Almost a third (30%) of respondents admitted to ignoring frequent studies warning of alcohol’s harmful effects. While many studies caution that drinking alcohol can shorten consumers’ lives, for instance, Marylanders are willing to give up three years of their lives if it means they can keep drinking!
