Bear’s Den – Hiding Bottles

The lyrics of the song are inspired by singer Andrew Davies real life experience of alcohol addiction in a family member, and the video was inspired by the stories of people who had been to Al Anon meetings when dealing with alcoholism in their own families.

For every problem drinker in the UK, 5 further people are affected. Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking or not. For more information go to https://www.al-anonuk.org.uk/

Lyrics include:
I think I hear what you’re saying, think I need a drink
Yeah, I’m keeping it together but you don’t know the half of it.
It’s starting to show no, I’m not on top of this

No you can’t run away from this hell you’re in
There’s no place you can go now and start again
Hiding bottles in the cold blue light
As you wander around your apartment
You’re wondering where your forevers went
Hiding bottles in the cold blue light.
