“The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation will soon make a decision on mandatory versus voluntary alcohol warnings and the most appropriate messages to use to discourage drinking during pregnancy.
Women do not intentionally seek to harm their unborn children. Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is preventable. Clear, effective, and appropriate labelling on all alcohol to discourage drinking during pregnancy is key to reducing alcohol-related harm.
All children deserve the right to have the best possible chance at life – please sign and share the petition for evidence-based warning labels applied consistently across all alcohol products.
The experience of the last six years has shown that the alcohol industry cannot self-regulate and will continue to deliberately mislead consumers.
Let’s join together to demand effective and mandatory alcohol & pregnancy warning labels – sign the petition now.“
