“A campaign aimed at preventing underage drinking has teamed up with the Carolina Hurricanes for a contest that encourages parents to have open conversations with their children and teens about alcohol.
Talk It Out NC is an initiative of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Commission seeking to stop underage drinking.
According to Talk It Out NC, its estimated that children between the ages of 12 and 20 drink 11 percent of all alcohol consumed in the United States.
The program asks parents to take the pledge to start conversations with their children about the dangers of underage drinking.”
