Alcohol and cancers

“Often denied or misunderstood, the carcinogenic nature of alcohol is clearly established. Every year in France, alcohol is responsible for 28 000 cancers. Alcohol is the second most preventable cause of cancer death after smoking.”

“Breast cancer is the most common cancer related to alcohol: nearly 8,080 cases each year. In fact, alcohol is responsible for twice as many breast cancers as liver cancer. But alcohol can also cause many cases of cancers of the colon and rectum, mouth, pharynx, esophagus and larynx.”
