Another element of the WA Governments new “Alcohol. Think Again” campaign is the risk tool to promote the health and financial benefits of reducing alcohol intake.
National alcohol guidelines recommend no more than two standard drinks on any day to reduce the risk of alcohol-caused disease, but still one in five West Australians are drinking at higher levels, according to the latest National Drug Strategy Household Survey.
On average, West Australians each drink 12 litres of pure alcohol per year, equal to 129 bottles of wine.
