Charles Kelley, a member of the country music group Lady A, has released a new song called “As Far As You Could,” which details his journey to recovery after deciding to stop drinking and enter treatment for his addiction. In an interview, Kelley said that he has been focusing on gratitude rather than pride during his journey to sobriety and that he has written 50 songs this fall, leading up to the release of “As Far As You Could.” The song is co-written and produced by Kelley, his bandmate Dave Haywood, and producer Jimmy Robbins, and features support from Haywood and fellow Lady A member Hillary Scott. The song is a raw and honest look into Kelley’s ongoing journey as he deals with inner conflict and mixed emotions.
