“The 2019 campaign – “Alcohol or drugs at the wheel, same deal” – aims to remind people that driving while impaired, either by alcohol or drugs, is a criminal offence, and that the consequences are the same.
Although cannabis is legal, driving under the influence of cannabis is prohibited. As is the case for alcohol, the consequences can be severe (accident, arrest, licence revocation, criminal record, fine, vehicle seizure and impoundment, etc.).”
