“Preventing addictive behavior requires early and comprehensive prevention – long before young people come into contact with addictive substances such as tobacco or alcohol. For this it is necessary to strengthen the self-confidence and self-esteem of adolescents and to promote their ability to conflict and communicate.
Children and adolescents who know their strengths and to whom we give confidence and appreciation, grow into self-confident personalities – an important basis for being able to say “no” to addictive substances later on against peer pressure.”
