“On the occasion of the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is releasing F1 DRIVERS ADVOCATE FOR ROAD SAFETY, a short film featuring for the first time the complete grid of F1 drivers advocating for road safety.
On current figures, on average 1.35 million people die in road crashes worldwide, and on recent trends this number has been increasing. Young people are particularly affected, as road traffic crashes are the main cause of death of 5 to 29 year olds.
Together with its 240 Member Organisations around the world, the FIA aims to raise awareness of the dangers of the road and promote a set of simple road safety tips for all road users.”
