Evidence shows that the most effective measures to cut alcohol related harm, reduce smoking and control illegal markets are policy measures. In different countries we see that these policies are not introduced or are poorly enforced.

In most cases policies need public support. Precondition for that is raised awareness. This is where social marketing comes to play and becomes a crucial part in policy making. A clever 30 second clip can attract needed attention to find public support to a social topic or problem.

This blog is hosted by the Nordic Alcohol and Drug Policy Network (NordAN) – http://www.nordan.org – and attempts to collect alcohol awareness public service announcements (psa´s), ad campaigns, posters and different social marketing materials into one place.
