Not Drinking is a Plus

The Czech campaign Not Drinking is a Plus (Nepít je plus), launched by the Prima+ platform, brings attention to alcohol addiction among women through powerful real-life stories. Actresses Michaela Badinková, Michaela Tomešová, and Justýna Drábková lend their voices and faces to the experiences of women who have overcome alcohol dependence. The campaign was created alongside the film The Alcoholic’s Notebook (Zápisník alkoholičky), directed by Dan Svátek, and aims to break the stigma surrounding female alcoholism while offering hope and motivation to those struggling with addiction.

One of the featured testimonies includes the story of Bohunka N., who has been sober for 18 years. Her words, shared through actress Michaela Badinková, highlight the devastating impact of alcohol and the strength needed to recover. The campaign also includes insights from Michaela Duffková, an author and former alcoholic, who emphasizes the importance of recognizing addiction early and seeking professional help. By sharing these raw and honest stories, Not Drinking is a Plus encourages open discussions about alcohol dependence and inspires those affected to take steps toward recovery.
