On the right track

The Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has launched the road safety campaign “Sulla buona strada” (“On the right track”). This initiative aims to encourage responsible driving behaviors and adherence to traffic regulations to ensure the safety of all road users. Through a series of six impactful video spots, the campaign addresses key causes of road accidents, including phone use while driving, excessive speed, alcohol consumption, failure to respect traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and the importance of seatbelt use.

Each video highlights the risks associated with these behaviors, encouraging greater awareness among drivers and pedestrians. For example, one video focuses on drink driving, urging individuals to prioritize safety by letting someone else drive if they have consumed alcohol. The message is clear: after drinking, leave the wheel to someone sober and stay safe on the road. This straightforward advice aligns with the campaign’s broader goal of promoting a culture of responsibility and vigilance on Italy’s roads.

By focusing on real-life scenarios and relatable messages, “Sulla buona strada” seeks to reduce accidents and save lives. The campaign emphasizes that small, mindful decisions—such as refraining from using a phone or fastening a seatbelt—can significantly impact road safety. Through this effort, the Ministry hopes to foster a collective commitment to safer roads and a reduction in preventable accidents.
