The Tahoe Alliance for Safe Kids (TASK) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the welfare of young individuals by actively working to prevent and mitigate substance use and its associated harms among youth. By fostering collaborations with community partners, TASK embarks on a mission to create a safer environment for children through a comprehensive approach that encompasses not only limiting access to drugs and alcohol but also by implementing educational programs within schools. These programs are designed to enhance healthy decision-making, improve communication skills, and provide coping strategies for stress and anxiety, thereby equipping youth with the necessary life skills to succeed. Launching the “Did You Know” Campaign, TASK aims to further its outreach and impact by engaging the community with monthly themes that spotlight various aspects of youth and family wellbeing, starting with introducing TASK’s pivotal role and objectives in supporting thriving youth.
