MADD Teen Influencer Sophia – 40 questions

In a recent initiative during the holiday season, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) engaged their Teen Influencer, Sophia, in a unique awareness campaign. Sophia responded to 40 questions, aimed at highlighting the risks of impaired driving and underage drinking.

The campaign focused on the Teen Influencer Group, a MADD initiative designed to cultivate leadership qualities in young people. The group trains teenagers to be effective peer educators, equipping them with skills to convey critical messages about the dangers of underage drinking and impaired driving. Their involvement is a key part of MADD’s strategy to curb underage drinking, thereby contributing to the organization’s overarching goal of ending drunk driving.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving was established in 1980 following a tragic incident in which a mother lost her daughter to a drunk driver. Today, MADD is recognized as the largest nonprofit in the United States dedicated to eradicating drunk driving. The organization also takes a stand against drugged driving, supports victims of these violent crimes, and actively works to prevent underage drinking. Their efforts over the years have been pivotal in saving more than 390,000 lives and reducing the number of fatalities due to drunk driving by over 50%. A key aspect of their advocacy involves promoting the use of non-drinking drivers as a preventive strategy.
