Fermati prima

In January 2024, the “Fermati prima” (Stop first) communication campaign was launched in Italy, continuing through to the end of spring. This multifaceted campaign includes street posters, digital channel dissemination, widespread events on the territory and at public establishments, and a conference. It aims to create an internal collective conscience by combining two different levels of communication. The first level targets the younger audience using Generation Z slang, while the second level offers a deep, non-imperative warning. This approach goes beyond mere prevention of altered-state driving; it aims to foster broader reflection on the importance of knowing and respecting limits related to all psychoactive substances.

By resonating with young people through familiar language and deeper, thought-provoking messages, the campaign extends its reach beyond immediate prevention to broader substance use and safety issues.

The “Aosta SiCura” (“Aosta Secures”) project, launched in November and managed by the Aosta Local Police under the coordination of Raffaella Scalisi, emphasizes the significance of awareness and prevention in reducing road accidents caused by substance abuse and promoting a healthy and secure lifestyle for young people. The project’s comprehensive approach, including educational days for over 700 students, drug trafficking countermeasures at schools, and driving under-the-influence checkpoints, complements the campaign’s message, contributing to the overarching goal of safer and more responsible behaviour among the youth.
