No place in childhood for alcohol marketing

“Alcohol Focus Scotland, SHAAP, SFAD, and BMA Scotland have reinvigorated a joint initiative to protect children from alcohol marketing. The campaign is supported by more than 40 organisations and 59 MSPs including First Minister Humza Yousaf MSP.

Alcohol marketing leads children and young people to start drinking earlier, to drink more, and to drink at problematic levels. This is why we need change.

Following a consultation on restricting how alcohol is advertised and promoted in 2023, the Scottish Government have committed to further stakeholder engagement in early 2024. There will then be further public consultation on specific proposals.”
