It’s childish to drive under the influence

The “Det er barnslig å kjøre rusa” (It’s childish to drive under the influence) campaign, crowned as the DeathTrip 2023 winner, brilliantly illustrated the risks of driving under the influence. The campaign compared the impaired abilities of a drunk person to those of a child, highlighting a lack of balance and poor judgment. Its success led to integrating its elements into various educational and media channels. The DeathTrip competition continues, with the 2023-24 edition currently underway. This initiative, supported by Ung i Trafikken and the Norwegian Health Directorate, encourages high school students across Norway to create impactful campaigns against drunk driving, fostering awareness and prevention.

For further information, please visit Ung i Trafikken (Norway, January 2024). “Ung i trafikken – ingen venner å miste” translates to “Young in Traffic – No Friends to Lose” in English. It is described as Norway’s only road safety organization specifically targeting youths aged between 15 and 26 years.
