Little Habit

“It takes 66 days to create a habit, and most Australians have been in different stages of lockdown for longer than that. During COVID-19, research shows more people are drinking, and people are drinking more. Habit formation expert from the University of Melbourne, Associate Professor Terry Bowles, said many of us may have picked up or formed new habits over the last few months without even realising it.

A survey of 1,000 Australians aged 18-65 also found 12 per cent of people drank more alcohol than usual during lockdown, and 10% said that on average, they drank more than the recommended National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) draft guidelines, consuming more than 11 standard drinks per week. This increases the risk of alcohol-related injury and diseases like cancer. ”

  1. Hey, I’m so sorry, but this article is full of grammatical errors! I think your adverts are really powerful and I think it will make loads of people think twice.
These are the parts that need fixing :
During COVID-19, research shows more people are drinking, and people are drinking more.

You’ve stated that twice and there is no spacing between shows and more.

    Also :

A survey of 1,000 Australians aged 18-65 also found 12 per cent of people drank more alcohol than usual during lockdown, and 10% said that on average

    You’re missing spacing between words!

This is a really important message you’re trying to get across to the people but this make it just look unprofessional.

    1. Hi Matilda!
Thanks for the feedback. This is not our text as we have simply copied it from the original source. Commenting on your points: it actually says that more people are drinking and those people who are drinking, they drink more.
And there are spacings. I do admit that, probably due to the original source, these are particularly small spacings. But if you copy-paste that text into a Word program, for instance, you see that the spaces are there.
But, I do agree with you that mistakes are not good and if you do find something else, do let me know.
      thanks

      1. Hi Reklaamival, I really liked the message about alcohol becoming a habit. I am going to read them to my son, whom has very harmful drinking problems. I just hope, he learns something from it, and gets the help, he so needs,

  2. Where is your TV Advertisement showing an adult man about to open a bottle of alcohol? Sexist and discriminatory advertisement implying women are the ones who have a ‘little habit’.
