“We, as parents, have the greatest impact on kids’ decisions about drinking or using marijuana, and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends talking to your kid about alcohol by age 9.

As a mother, I know it can be hard to talk to our kids about alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs. You are not alone. We all need help sometime.

Tell your child you care about their happiness and well being, and that you disapprove of underage drinking and marijuana use. Be a source of good information. Learn more and get tips on how to talk to your child at www.nbccoalition.org/nb21.
