For instance, there is a 40 percent increase in alcohol consumption during December.
In December, Brits consume around 600 million units of alcohol. This is equivalent to 21.4 million 1 litre bottles of vodka, or 60 million 750ml bottles of 13.5% ABV wine!
All this alcohol amounts to 4.74 trillion calories. This is the equivalent to eating 84.3 million Big Macs, or 14.2 million large 14″ deep dish pepperoni pizzas from Domino’s.
